Privacy policy

This policy explains what Podium collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.

What we collect

Podium collects the minimum needed to run your workspace and your subscription.

  • Account details: the email address you sign up with, and a display name if you set one
  • Workspace content: the projects, folders, presentations, slides, titles and speaker notes you create
  • Uploaded files: the slide images you import
  • Subscription state: your plan, subscription status and renewal dates, received from our payment provider
  • Basic operational logs: request and error records used to keep the service running

What we do not collect

Podium does not sell your data, does not run advertising trackers, and does not use your presentation content to train AI models. Card numbers never reach us — checkout happens on our payment provider's systems.

AI features

When you use the script rewriting or dictation features, the text or audio you submit is sent to an AI provider to generate the result and returned to you. It is used to produce your output, not to build a profile of you. If you would rather not send content to an AI provider, simply do not use those features — the rest of Podium works without them.

Where your data lives

Your account, workspace content and uploaded images are stored with our managed cloud database and storage provider. Access is restricted to your own account by row-level rules enforced in the database.

How long we keep it

Content follows the states you can see in the app.

  • Active and archived items are kept for as long as your account exists
  • Items you move to trash stay recoverable until you empty the trash, at which point they are deleted
  • Deleting your account removes your workspace content and uploaded images
  • Billing records may be retained by our payment provider as required for their own accounting obligations

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything in it. Email hello@usepodium.co from the address on your account and we will action the request. You can also change your own password and delete your own content from inside the app at any time.

Cookies and local storage

Podium stores a session token so you stay signed in, and a small theme preference so the app opens in the light or dark mode you chose. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, the date at the top of this page will change and material changes will be noted here.
